Peter Epp

Peter Epp was born on September 23, 1948 in Russia, the city of Slavgorod (Altai), in a German family whose ancestors emigrated from Germany to Russia at the end of the nineteenth century.

From 1977 to 1982 - Completed the Prokofiev S.S.- Conservatory in Donetsk, Ukraine, in the class of the choral conducting of Professor Bakharev V. L.

As a soloist and composer: Medalist in Moscow (1987), Kiev (1989), Orel (1990). Creative contacts with outstanding musicians: Konstantin Orbelian, Yevgeny Martynov, Igor Krutoy and Alexey Mazhukov played a major role in his creative life.

From 1983 to 1992 - Work in the Donetsk Philharmony. Concert touring in Ukraine, Siberia, the Far East and the European part of Russia. Peter also worked in a number of other music groups as an organizer and leader. This brought him much experience in the arrangements of numerous works for different orchestral groups. He is the author of instrumental and vocal music. Piano works have been published in various genres and styles that are interesting for both pianists performing in classical style and for jazz pianists. His "Piano Collection for Entertainers" / “Piano Collection für Entertainer” was issued with a CD. His vocal collection "Good luck!" (on CD) includes ballads, songs and romances. His compositions were performed by the author himself and by other artists (radio, television, concert halls) and also published in the music publisher "Musitchna Ukraina" in Kiev.

In 1992 - Peter emigrated to Germany for health reasons, where he received timely medical help and literally started a second life with new friends, challenging situations and interesting discoveries. All this gave him new forces for the benefit of his creative work. Today, Peter’s work is mainly focused on teaching. Peter composes a lot of instrumental and vocal music performances. He is also performing regularly with the ensemble "Arpeta".
